Fiery Cross
An extreme clipper ship built in 1860 by Chaloner, Liverpool, and designed by
William Rennie. Her dimensions were 185'0"×31'7"×19'2" and tonnage:
695 NRT. Equipped with steel masts and Cunningham's roller-reefing top-sails.

- One source says that she was towed into Sheerness with her
cargo of coal on fire and eventually sank in Stangate Creek on the Mersey.

- According to Captain Daniel, she stranded on
the the Red Sand near Whitstable with cargo of lathwood from Skellefteå.
The master during 1891-1893 was Christopherson.
